A temporary opportunity has arisen for a Housing Development Manager within the Physical Regeneration Team until 31st March 2019.
The post holder will report to the Development Manager and have direct responsibility for promoting housing development within the county. The role encompasses the liaison with the HCA to facilitate the delivery of the government housing agenda as well as working with strategic stakeholders to aid in the delivery of new social and open market housing. A key area of the role will be to assist the legal team in the negotiation of S106 Agreements relating to the provision of affordable housing, this may include the production of site specific viability assessments.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a track record in improving housing and/or neighbourhoods, understanding the housing market, relevant housing policy and have experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
Applicants should hold a degree level or equivalent qualification in regeneration / economic development / housing delivery or related field together with proven experience within the housing sector, specifically relating to affordable housing.
