Job Title: Business Administration Apprentice, Development and Learning Team
(Children and Young People’s Service)

Grade: £129.50 Per week

The newly created Development and Learning Team for Children and Young People’s Services are seeking a Business Administration Apprentice.

The team is responsible for supporting organisational learning by arranging learning and development activities (such as taught courses and e-learning), supporting workforce planning, preparing for and supporting inspections, supporting quality improvement, and managing complaints.

Business Administration Apprentice will develop skills to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the team, and work towards completion of a Diploma in Business Administration at Level 2.

The role will involve:

• Administration of training and development activities, including working
with Learning and Development Officers and external training providers,
booking venues and publicising courses, maintaining accurate records of
attendance;
• Supporting access to e-learning courses;
• Requisitioning using the financial database ORACLE,
• Responding to enquiries from staff and members of the public made by
telephone, e-mail and letter.

The role is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop administrative skills and experience, and gain a nationally recognised qualification. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and:

• Has, or is expected to achieve 4 GCSE’s at Grades A-C or holds an
equivalent and relevant qualification;
• Has experience of using Microsoft Office applications;
• Has good communication skills and works well with people;
• Is able to work as a member of a team, and on their own initiative.
