Residential Workers - 5TH UNIT AYCLIFFE SECURE
Grade 7 £21,962- £24,964 - Plus secure unit allowance.

The postholder will work alongside young people ensuring their best interests and well-being are prioritised, keeping them safe whilst developing their potential within and outside Aycliffe Secure Centre.

You will be required to work to Children's Homes Regulations and Youth Justice Board guidance to provide for young people's physical and emotional needs as necessary. The postholder will keep accurate records, prepare reports and contribute to the young people's care planning, reviews and meetings as required.

Postholders will work in partnership with young people, their families and professionals to ensure good outcomes for the young people. There is a also a requirement to provide appropriate boundaries for young people. Dealing with challenging behaviour which requires resilience, self-awareness and acute interpersonal skills is crucial to the role.


Essential Qualifications:

* 4 GCSEs (grade A – C) inc Maths and English or equivalent and/or
NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or willingness to achieve within 18 months of
commencement.

Essential experience

* Worked children/young people aged 10-18, paid or voluntary within the last
3 years

* Commitment towards undertaking and maintaining required training
standards in accordance with the updated career pathway.
