Cleveland Fire Brigade is looking for an experienced Operational Crew Manager to undertake a 12 month fixed term contract on a job share basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and monitoring personnel during operational incidents and will play a key role in supporting the Watch Manager in managing and developing personnel to secure the achievement of the Brigade’s strategic objectives.

Applications are invited from applicants who have Level 3 NVQ Unit Accreditation in Emergency Fire Services Watch Management and who have experience of working at an Operational Crew Manger level or above for a Local Authority Fire & Rescue Service within the last 2 years

It is essential that applicants can demonstrate that they have the ability to lead, monitor & support a team and individuals to achieve their objectives as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels.

This job share opportunity is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis in order that an assessment of the impact of the job share arrangement on operational effectiveness can be made, a review will take place at the end of the term with a decision being made on whether the arrangement will be made permanent.
