LIBRARY ASSISTANT
(Term time plus 3 weeks, 37 hours per week. Permanent)
Salary: Grade 3 £16123 - £17419 (pro rata)

We are seeking to appoint someone to take responsibility for the day to day running of our library and to actively promote independent learning skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for the running of the area and maintaining a learning environment which is positive, pleasant, welcoming and appropriate to the needs of students

Candidates must have:
• 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English & Maths or equivalent
• BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant qualification
• Relevant library experience
• Experience of working with children
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate well to all members of the community

Wellfield was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2014.

The school has undergone an £8.5million refurbishment as part of BSF which has just been completed. It is situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City and is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty. We also benefit from a Beacon Nursery in the village.
