The Governors of this friendly and welcoming school are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and imaginative Teaching Assistant to work with our Early Years pupils.

This is a temporary post initially for two terms but with the possibility of an extension depending on the child’s needs, starting 8 January 2018, required to complement the existing staff team in delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning for our nursery and reception children. Applications are welcomed from candidates who meet all of the following criteria:

• A teaching assistant qualification at NVQ3, or CACHE level 3, or BTEC National Diploma level 3, or NNEB, or equivalent
• CGSE Maths and English Language at Grades A – C, or equivalent
• A minimum of 12 months paid experience of working with children in Early Years in an education setting and a good knowledge of the Development Matters document
• experience in using their skills, expertise and experience to support pupil learning and progress
• worked constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities, and their own position within these
• taught whole classes under the guidance of the classroom teacher
