Required from 9 July 2018 (or as soon as possible after this date) until 31 December 2018 (or the return of the substantive postholder from Maternity Leave).

Temporary Enhanced Teaching Assistant (SEN) - term time only plus two additional weeks. This post is temporary to cover the maternity leave of a substantive member of staff.

Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (8.30-3.30).

The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and experienced Enhanced Teaching Assistant who will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs under the direction of the Class Teacher.

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience in caring for children with physical and personal care needs
• Demonstrates excellent behaviour management skills
• Is able to work as a part of a team, learning with and from other colleagues
• Enjoys working independently and with initiative
• Is able to work effectively with children either individually and in small groups to enable them to achieve their best
• Is highly organised and has good time management skills
• Is flexible, proactive and resourceful
• Demonstrates good English and Mathematics skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
• Has a good knowledge of phonics
• Has excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Understands confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
