Active Northumberland have two vacancies for ‘School and Community Sport Programme Teachers’ to work across the School Sport Partnership, hours ranging from minimum 0.4FTE to full time
The Active Northumberland School Sport Programme works across the Blyth & Bedlington, Morpeth & Ponteland and Tynedale areas of the county involving first, primary, middle, special and secondary schools.
The post would be a fixed term contract from 1st Sep 2018 - 31st Aug 2019. (MPS/UPS)
The successful applicant will work across schools in the School Sport Programme to raise standards in P.E. and school sport. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified P.E. teacher to support a family of schools in their P.E. development.
The job will involve working closely with school staff and other sports organisations across a range of areas, including:
support for teachers to develop high quality teaching and learning in PE lessons
facilitating coaching sessions and out of school hours learning
event organisation and delivery
school sport competition
