We are looking to appoint an HLTA who will work with a Reception child with diagnosis of ASD. The successful candidate will take a lead role in supporting the individual needs of the child though supporting the learning in an inclusive classroom environment, as well as planning and delivering some 1:1 and small group work. Successful previous experience of positively promoting progress of children with SEND within the Early Years is essential for the role.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team and must be committed to delivering excellence in learning. The post is a fixed term post of 37 hours per week, term time + five days and is linked to the EHCP of a child starting in Reception in September 2018.

The school is currently undergoing a restructure from Middle to Primary School; the successful candidate will be joining the school at a time of exciting change. We are part of the newly formed Ponteland Pele Trust along with the other Ponteland primary schools and Ponteland High School. Academy conversion is planned for the end of this academic year.
