North Tyneside Council Adult Learning Service currently employs Tutors to deliver learning across a range of Adult and Community Learning courses and venues across the Borough. Delivery takes place during the day, evenings and weekends.
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, innovative individuals to join our team, to teach a range of subject areas. We are particularly interested in tutors who can teach the following:
- ICT
- Family Learning
- Modern foreign Languages
- Sewing
- Adults with learning difficulties and disabilities and SEND.
- Joinery & horticulture
- Cookery
The successful candidate will be well-motivated, qualified and ready to teach across a range of programmes. Successful candidates will join a bank of Casual Tutors to be called upon to deliver specific subjects when demand requires.
You should be educated to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a specific subject area and hold an appropriate adult teaching or lifelong learning qualification at Level 4 or qualified teacher status (QTLS); or be willing to enrol on a level 4 teaching course before any teaching commences.
The appointment offers a number of opportunities to play a key role in driving forward the quality and expansion of our adult learning provision, as well as the offer to develop programmes for local partnerships and employers, working alongside a highly successful team.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate, in their application form, practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.
The posts are various hours, fixed term for 12 weeks.
