Waves opened its doors in March 2009 as the new and exciting leisure facility in North Tyneside Council on Whitely Bay sea front.

The facility has a leisure pool benefiting from an aquatic play area, 3 racing slides and the highly popular wave machine. We also have a multi functional fitness suite, dance studio, soft play, two multi purpose meeting rooms and spa facilities.

We are currently seeking a Leisure Assistant to join the team at Waves. The post is 25 hours per week and works to the following three week rotational shift pattern;

Week 1

Monday 3pm - 9pm
Tuesday 3pm - 9pm
Wednesday Off
Thursday 6.15am - 1.30pm
Friday 6.15am - 1.30pm
Saturday Off
Sunday Off

Week 2

Monday Off
Tuesday 6.15am - 2pm
Wednesday 6.15am - 2pm
Thursday Off
Friday Off
Saturday 10am - 7.30pm
Sunday 10am - 6pm

Week 3

Monday 10am - 1pm
Tuesday 4pm - 8pm
Wednesday Off
Thursday 4pm - 8pm
Friday 2.30pm - 8.30pm
Saturday Off
Sunday Off

Currently the post attracts a shift allowance and enhanced weekend pay.

Applicants should have excellent customer care skills, use their initiative, provide an efficient and friendly service and be able to work as part of a team and on their own. They will supervise and ensure the safety of the public at all times.
