The work going on behind the scenes of North Tyneside Council is broad and varied, therefore many of our apprenticeship opportunities are in business administration.
This will be the fifth year we have identified more opportunities in business administration due to the success of previous apprentices who are now employed.
A business administration apprentice will carry out general office tasks such as creating documents, arranging meetings, sending emails, and handling telephone calls. The admin apprenticeship within Children’s Social Care is based at the Council’s headquarters on Cobalt Business Park.
Each of our apprentices are fully supported by the team around them with a named mentor and manager. As an apprentice with North Tyneside Council, you will learn skills, gain experience and knowledge and achieve a recognised qualification.
Our admin vacancy is in Children’s Social Care team:
Childrens Services
Based at the Council Headquarters, Cobalt Business Park.
North Tyneside Council Children’s Services and its Front Door Service provide access to all services for children and families in North Tyneside. The team is the first point of contact and deals with concerns about the safety or welfare of a child in North Tyneside. The varied administration work you will undertake will be an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of children’s social care within a busy local authority. You will gain a good understanding in key areas of Children’s Services and help the team in applying procedures and processes.
With our support, you will learn all about business administration and provide support to staff within Children’s Social Care. You will be trained to use new IT systems and have the opportunity to work within the multi-disciplinary setting, alongside partner agencies such as; Housing, Health, Police and Early Help services.
The apprenticeship is fixed term for 18 months.
