Due to the increasing workload of existing team members, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time solicitor to join the busy team of solicitors and legal assistants.
The post holder will advise adult services on all aspects of their work including the Care Act, the Mental Capacity Act, issuing and responding to applications in the Court of Protection and advising on the Mental Health Act.
The is a temporary position for a period of 3 years from the start of appointment and applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors and barristers or from newly qualified candidates with knowledge of this area of work
Candidates should be a qualified solicitor with current Practicing Certificate or qualified Barrister (will consider those about to qualify having completed all academic stages) and have recent advocacy experience in the Court of Protection and knowledge of social services legislation which relates to adults.
