Hexham Priory School is a special school (2 to 19 years) for pupils with severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties including those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. The vacancy is currently with a KS3/4 class but if this may change in September 2019.
Experience of working with children with special educational needs is essential. The candidate will be expected to teach pupils whose ability levels are below age-related expectations.
Candidates should identify the personal and professional qualities, curriculum strengths, knowledge, skills and experience they will bring to this post.
