North Tyneside Council Children's Services has some exciting opportunities for working with young people in the region.
Based within a supported accommodation setting, the role engages young people (16-21 year old) in training and employment, accessing community services and developing skills for living independently.
This flexible and active role works across settings and undertakes outreach in the community also ensuring records are up to date. A shift system includes sleep-in duties seven days a week, including Bank Holidays and possible waking nights.
The post attracts additional allowances.
Experience of working with young people is desirable. All posts are physically active and require work across the borough; the ability to work as part of a team and to manage lone working is essential. Knowledge of legislation underpinning direct work with young people is also an advantage.
