To cover a period of maternity leave

1 x part-time 18.5 hour Home Care and Support Worker is required on a temporary basis up to 31/3/2019 to cover a period of maternity leave (subject to return of the substantive postholder).

This post is not open to job share.

If you have elderly friends and relatives you will understand the value they place on independence. This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to a valuable community service by providing care and support to service users within Sycamore Lodge.

The post requires candidates with the ability to develop excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate a common sense approach, be able to work on their own initiative and manage their own workloads, along with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, colleagues and external agencies.

Applicants must have relevant experience of caring in a personal or professional capacity.

Required Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Care or willingness to achieve within a set timescale
