Sport and Leisure would like to recruit Casual Swimming Instructors to work across our service to deliver our well established Learn to Swim Programme.

Sport and Leisure would like to recruit Casual Swimming Instructors to work across our service to deliver our well established Learn to Swim Programme. The leisure centres that offer school lessons and the Learn to Swim programme are Hadrian Leisure Centre in Wallsend, The Lakeside Centre in Killingworth, Waves in Whitley Bay and Tynemouth pool in North Shields.

The post holder will be required to work at any of these facilities, have a flexible approach and be able cover at short notice.

The main duties are to deliver swimming instruction in accordance with the facilities Learn to Swim programme, Swim England standards and industry best practice. This will include promoting a positive image of NTC, encouraging participation, recording and maintaining registers and attending meetings and a commitment to on-going professional development.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills, provide an efficient and friendly service and be able to work as part of a team and on their own.

Candidates must possess a level 2 swimming instructor's qualification.
