Further Information
You will undertake pest control treatments in residential and commercial premises providing advice to customers. You will investigate complaints leading to statutory nuisance actionable under the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act. You will also undertake enforcement activities including the service of statutory and fixed penalty notices and represent the Council in court proceedings.
You will have a good standard of general education, knowledge of issues relating to the provision of pest control and environmental enforcement services and experience of pest control and the design, operation and functionality of domestic drainage systems. You should also have a sound knowledge of current laws, regulations policies and procedures in pest control and environmental enforcement as well as drainage.
This post involves frequent and regular travel throughout the County.
