We are looking for a fully experienced HGV technician to work at our Hexham Tyne Mills Fleet Workshop.
This is a permanent, full time post.
Your duties will include; preparing all vehicles to M.O.T and LGV Testing Station standards and undertaking MOTs on class iv, v and vii vehicles; diagnosing faults by road testing and by use of computerised diagnostic software; Identifying and ordering parts and components; servicing and repairing the full range of vehicles and plant within the County Council's fleet.
You must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in subjects related to Vehicle and Plant Maintenance; be able to understand complex mechanical and electrical equipment; have completed a full vehicle apprenticeship. You must have a full driving licence for all vehicle categories.
