Please note, a new National Pay Spine and Pay Award is to be introduced on 1 April 2019.  The salary range for this post will increase in line with these changes from 1 April 2019 to £32,878 - £36,876 per annum .


An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Procurement Officer to work as part of a team of 23 employees. The post is a generic role that is required to operate flexibly and interchangeably across all areas of procurement work.

The post holder will provide professional procurement resource to support and advise internal and external partners and to assist in the delivery of the Council’s objectives to meet the requirements of the organisation.

Candidates should have experience of managing procurement spend/projects together with experience in the delivery of service improvements, cost reduction, and value for money improvements.

Qualifications:
Candidates should be Fully MCIPS Qualified via the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply Level 6)

or part qualified to Diploma Level 4 or Advanced Diploma Level 5 standard with a firm commitment to achieving full MCIPS level 6 status within an mutually agreed timescale

Or

Qualified to degree level or equivalent or a relevant qualification in an appropriate subject.
