Temporary Teaching Assistant Grade 3 - EYFS and SEND

Grade 3 Scale point 4-5: £18,426- £18,795 pro rata

The hours are 15 hours a week. To be worked: 8.30am -11.30am daily in school term time only plus 2 weeks.

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and hard-working person to work in EYFS to support one child with specific special educational needs.

The candidate will be required to:
To work one to one with a child with significant speech and language difficulties.
To work alongside other professionals to implement specific interventions and support plan outcomes.
To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which children can play, develop and learn.
To support and model appropriate language through high quality play.
To effectively deliver the EYFS curriculum ensuring it meets the specific needs of the child they are supporting.
To work closely with team members ensuring continuity and collaborative working.
To work closely with a range of professionals where appropriate including outreach support and speech and language.
To be willing to support in all areas of the curriculum including self-help skills and care.
To demonstrate patience and positivity at all times.
To want to work in a busy, happy, early years setting with a range of Nursery and Reception children.
To keep records of high quality including observations, photos and annotations.
To work closely with the EY team and SENCO to ensure we meet the needs of the child.
To have experience of working in a Nursery or other Early Years setting.
To have experience of supporting a child with additional needs.

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a current DBS check.
