Aycliffe Secure Children’s Centre is the largest of its kind nationally. The young people we teach have a range of complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, often alongside significant trauma. Our aim is to give each young person the very best education possible so that they are able to fulfil their potential and have a brighter future.

We are looking for a teacher who has a proven track record of achieving outcomes with challenging learners and a commitment to ensuring that every child succeeds. You will need excellent communication and behaviour management skills, very high levels of resilience, and a flexible range of skills that can be applied to teaching Music, including digital recording/editing, and Functional Skills and ICT.

A comprehensive induction programme is provided alongside excellent opportunities for ongoing professional development as part of our highly skilled and experienced team.

Required Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Conversant with the full range of accreditation options appropriate for Key Stage 4.
• Evidence of attending training and relevant courses as part of CPD.
