Post title: Progression Officer – part time (22.5 hours per week) – maternity cover (temporary until 29 February 2020 or the day before the return of the substantive post holder)

Salary: £19,554 - £21,589 Grade 5 (pro-rata to hours worked)

We are seeking to appoint a part time, temporary Progression Officer who will be responsible for developing and managing systems and processes to ensure the Local Authority meets its statutory obligations in relation to the participation of young people in learning agenda.

Duties will include :

• managing, monitoring and maintaining administrative systems.
• supervising the Progression Assistants, including allocating and monitoring work
• preparing and producing documents, reports, correspondence and presentations.
• making arrangements for meetings and workshops including the booking of venues, sending invitations, organising agendas, taking minutes and monitoring progress against identified tasks.
• providing administrative support for HR tasks, including: annual leave, sickness, and disciplinary matters.
• organising travel, accommodation and hospitality requirements on behalf of service managers.

Required qualifications: Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent).
