We are looking for a person with a passion and commitment to working with children to join our school as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice.

Training will fully prepare the successful candidates for a career supporting teaching and learning in a primary school. We are an outstanding school with a proven track record in developing all staff.

Successful candidates will work in both KS1 and KS2 alongside experienced professionals with very high expectations. You will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the role and should make a positive contribution to the progress of our pupils.

You will need to demonstrate that you have good communication skills, confidence and that you are able to take the initiative. You will be a very caring person who gets along with others. We expect the successful candidates to be reliable, very hardworking and ready to commit to the life of the school. You will also need to complete tasks and assignments in a timely manner, so an ability to organise your time efficiently will be essential. The successful applicant would be subject to a probationary period.

Essential Qualifications: 5 GCSE’s grade A-C (or equivalent) including Maths, English and ICT

Outstanding candidates who do not have GCSE ICT (or recognised equivalent) may be considered but they must achieve it by the end of the apprenticeship in order to receive the level 3 qualification.
