An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Safeguarding and Professional Practice Service area and implement the National Assessment and Accreditation System (NAAS) across Children’s Social Care.

You will need to be an enthusiastic and skilled social work practitioner or manager with substantial experience of working with Children and Families. The post provides an opportunity to develop your own practice knowledge and skills, whilst developing a range of skills in engagement, communication, partnership working and project management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• The development and delivery of the NAAS project plan.
• Working directly with practitioners and managers to support them preparing for and undertaking the NAAS.
• Working collaboratively with the wider service to ensure that the NAAS is supported and promoted.
• Developing and maintaining key relationships with the DfE and all organisations involved in the delivery of the NAAS.
• Working collaboratively with Local Authorities regionally and nationally to ensure that we share and learn from best practice.
• Representing Durham at regional and national NAAS events.
