Opportunities have arisen for Leisure Assistants on a casual as and when required basis to support the Culture and Sport team in providing a high quality service to customers that is safe, efficient and enjoyed by users.

You may be required to work across various locations:

Woodhouse Close - Bishop Auckland, Teesdale - Barnard Castle, Meadowfield, Shildon, Spennymoor, Newton Aycliffe, Chester le Street, Riverside, Abbey - Pity Me, Freemans Quay - Durham, Consett & The Louisa Centre - Stanley

You may detail your location preferences on your application form/attached preference form, which would be discussed further at interview.

The successful candidates must possess relevant experience within a customer focused environment and/or leisure centre and/or Gym.

Required Qualifications:

• National Pool Lifeguard qualification (if facility has a Swimming Pool) and/or
• Level 2 gym instructor or equivalent in an appropriate area
• First Aid Certificate or ability to work towards the qualification within an
agreed time scale.

The successful applicants for these posts will be required to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
