A vacancy has arisen within Assessment and Awards for three temporary Welfare Rights Officers until approximately 31st March 2021.
The team are looking for experienced Welfare Rights Officers to devise and deliver a series of take-up campaigns to ensure that those entitled to social security benefits claim those benefits.
The successful candidates will be working across County Durham in partnership with other advice agencies and will work directly with the public where appropriate. As well as planning and implementing the take up campaigns, the successful candidates will have to provide training to support the aims of the campaign and occasionally provide support to the main Welfare Rights team.
Candidates should have 2 A Levels, Graded A-C or equivalent.
