Marketing Technician
Grade 4, £18,795 - £19,945
(37 hours per week, whole time, permanent)

We are seeking to appoint a creative thinker who is versatile and well organised and can promote the school in the wider community. You will be highly motivated, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver marketing communications across a variety of channels including websites, email, print and social media.

Applicants must possess:
• Minimum of 4 GCSE’s at grade A* - C, including English and maths, or equivalent qualifications
• Graphic design skills and software experience
• Good organisational and project management skills
• A high standard of both written and oral communication skills, you will be able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise projects

Wellfield was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2018.

As part of BSF the school has undergone an £8.5 million refurbishment, so facilities are state of the art. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Please note that this position is whole time, which means that you will be in attendance at work all year round (52 weeks a year) and will have an annual leave entitlement (26 days if you have less than 5 years continuous local government service, 31 days if you have in excess of 5 years continuous local government service; pro rata for part time).
