Strategic Network Manager
Grade 12, £35,934 - £39,782

(37 hours per week, whole time, permanent)
As we move away from Durham County Managed Service, we are seeking to appoint a motivated, well-qualified and experienced Strategic Network Manager to be responsible for the school’s IT network. This new post has been created to run our IT service and offers an opportunity for someone to develop the role.

Applicants must possess:
• A recognised computer or network qualification at NVQ level 4 and equivalent experience.
• Experience of configuring computer hardware and software and managing projects
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems and network interface cards
• Experience of systems in schools such as MIS, communication with parents, Parentpay and cashless systems
• Line management experience from within a school environment
• Considerable experience in Network management

Wellfield was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2018.

Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Please note that this position is whole time, which means that you will be in attendance at work all year round (52 weeks a year) and will have an annual leave entitlement (26 days if you have less than 5 years continuous local government service, 31 days if you have in excess of 5 years continuous local government service; pro rata for part time).
