Your normal place of work is Meadowfield. However, you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.

An opportunity has arisen to join the highway design team within highways services.
The postholder will be responsible for providing a wide range of services, including the preparation of plans, details, documentation and contracts for highways works to assist all functions of the Highway Operations but with specific responsibility for assisting with the delivery of the programme of highway related schemes.
• Required Qualifications:
Education to Degree level or equivalent in Civil Engineering discipline
Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent

Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
