PASTORAL SUPPORT OFFICER
Grade 7, (£22,911- £26,317 pro rata)
37hrs per week, term time plus two weeks, permanent

We are seeking to appoint someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young people and adults, combining tact, diplomacy and discretion. The successful candidate will be well organised, self-confident, enthusiastic and motivated and enjoy working with young people. They will provide support for the Assistant Head for Rewards and Discipline and work closely with the Inclusion Manager.

The school received its second ‘Good’ from Ofsted in June 2018, but does in fact have many outstanding features.

As part of BSF the school has undergone an £8.5 million refurbishment so facilities are state of the art. The school will shortly benefit from the development of a floodlit FA standard 3G multi purpose sports facility. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
