Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic teachers to work within our Science department. Due to increasing pupil numbers we are seeking to appoint an ambitious person who combines excellent teaching skills and an ability to inspire and motivate pupils.

You will be expected to demonstrate:

• The ability to teach Science effectively across both key stages
• A passion for and commitment to the subject
• The ability to work within a highly supportive and positive team
• A commitment to raise achievement for all students

This post would be ideal for an NQT or recently qualified teacher.

Wellfield was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2018.

An £8.5million refurbishment was completed in the summer of 2014, resulting in an excellent learning environment offering state of the art facilities. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty. We benefit from a Beacon Nursery in the village.
