Salary: £30,507 - £33,799 Grade 10

Job Location: Your usual place of work will be County Hall, Durham, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

We are seeking to appoint a full time, temporary Project Officer who will successfully implement IT systems in order to deliver improvements, efficiencies and benefits to the Council.

The successful candidate will have experience of implementing IT systems in a large organisation as well as understanding customer needs and translating these to system design. They will also have excellent analytical skills and a strong focus on attention to detail.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• To plan and conduct sessions with stakeholders, which identify and manage data issues and risks and identify opportunities to streamline and improve current ways of working
• To liaise with external providers of IT systems to ensure that Council requirements are accurately translated
• To read and interpret case management system documentation and functionality literature and translate for the end user
• To lead project meetings
• To track and evaluate the impact of the system changes
• To support the implementation of the systems, including the provision of training, advice and guidance

Required qualifications: Degree level or equivalent in relevant qualification.
