Post Title: Senior Residential Worker - various posts available
Salary: Grade 8, £25,295 - £28,785 pro rata per annum

An opportunity has arisen for Senior Residential Workers to join our team to assist in the management, development and delivery of services to young people in line with the policies and procedures of Durham County Council.

Senior Residential Workers will carry responsibility for certain tasks, at the direction of the manager. They will on certain occasions, act on behalf of the manager in their absence.

This post has been identified as being specific to the Statement of Purpose relating to the service’s provision of a placement home. Therefore, emotional sustainability, sound partnership practice, verbal and written communication techniques, the ability to form long lasting relationships, able to work through issues and assessment skills (including identifying risks and risk management) are required.

Required qualifications: GCSE Grade A – C in Maths and English or a qualification at an equivalent or higher level and relevant qualification that relates to work with children/young people at Level 3 (or above) in Social Care, e.g. childcare, nursing, teaching, youth work.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held after between Tuesday 25th August and Friday 28th August.
