Team Manager, Adoption Team

Grade 14 - £41,675 - £45,591

The Adoption Team Manager post is a critical post within the Looked After Children and Permanence Service. It is a high performing team with a clear focus on ensuring children who have Care Plans of adoption are placed with the right families at the right time without delay. The service receives excellent feedback from adopters and all those affected by adoption. The successful post holder will be critical in driving our Early Permanence Strategy across all of CYPS and will be a key post in the project work in relation to the Regionalisation of Adoption Services and the new service to go live in 2020.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in an adoption and fostering service or substantial experience of working with children who are being placed for adoption and working with adopter families.

Required qualifications: Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification, e.g. Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work (PDDipSW) Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), Certificate in Social Services (CSS) and Current Social Work England Registration.
