Further Information
We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to primarily co-ordinate and implement accessibility fixes across a wide range of websites and applications within Durham County Council. This post is temporary for approximately 12 months from start date of appointment.
The successful post holder will assist in leading on a programme of work to ensure that the Authority meets the current legislation surrounding WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines. You will also be required to participate in other development projects as and when required. You will have development skills in .Net, PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML and CSS.
The post holder should be familiar with content management systems such as WordPress and preferably GOSS, as well as a knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems. A positive attitude and strong analytical and communication skills as well as the aptitude and desire to establish a positive customer experience are essential in this role.
The successful candidate needs to be highly motivated, have the ability to work under and respond positively to pressure and manage their own workload in order to meet targets.
Candidates should have a Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject area.
