This is a fantastic opportunity to join Durham County Council’s People and Talent Management Service as a Senior Workforce Development Officer. The post is temporary for approximately a year from start date of employment.

This is a completely new post which will primarily focus on around 150 employees working in our Children’s Homes. Your role will be to lead on all aspects of development, from how we recruit and induct new employees, how we develop our existing employees, and how we succession plan. You will analyse how our workforce changes over time, and undertake workforce planning.

You will join a warm and welcoming workforce development team, and work closely with employees at all levels in our Children’s Homes teams.

To apply you should:

• Have a background in workforce development
• Be able to translate service priorities into workforce plans
• Have experience in project planning
