A vacancy has arisen within Occupational Health and Safety for a Health and Safety Advisor.
The post holder will support the Health and Safety Manager, Team Leader and Senior Health and Safety Advisors in ensuring high standards of health and safety for all employees and in all areas where the Council has an interest together with assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures ensuring legislative compliance, best practice and safe working environments.
Candidates must have a minimum of NEBOSH national general certificate or equivalent and willing to or working towards NEBOSH national Diploma.
Candidates should have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary organisation and experience of working in a health and safety role or function. Experience of working within the education sector in relation to health and safety would be advantageous. Candidates should be customer focused, able to work to tight deadlines and have excellent interpersonal skills.
