Post: SEND Advisory Officer
Grade: Soulbury Scale 2 - 4, £37,723 - £40,203 per annum
We are seeking an experienced practitioner of SEND to join the well-established SEND Advisory team in County Durham. The successful postholder will join a team with an excellent reputation in the county and beyond. The postholder’s work will contribute to a traded service within the team, as well as the LA’s statutory duties.
These are some of the essential experience and skills we are looking for:
• QTS and NASENCO (or currently working towards it)
• Current or very recent experience of co-ordinating SEND in an educational setting or in a current LA advisory role
• Experience of supporting the inclusion and achievement of children and young people with special educational needs and disability
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
• Confident and assertive manner
