We would like to announce an exciting Supported Employment Service coming to County Durham namely - “DurhamEnable”. The service will rely on flexible approaches to working to meet the needs of our customers. This will include a blended approach to community, office and home-based work. Flexibility in working hours may be required within the team to deliver a personalised approach to our work. Our aim is to support individuals with disabilities and mental ill health progress into and remain in paid work opportunities. We are seeking to appoint a number of Job Coaches to create a diverse and inclusive team who can demonstrate resilient qualities and hold high aspirations for people with disabilities and mental ill health.
We welcome applicants who have experience from a range of organisations, with transferable skill sets as well as a strong underlying set of social values and core beliefs.
As a successful candidate:
• You will use a mixture of recognisable and creative strategies to engage and progress County Durham residents with disabilities and mental ill health on their journey towards paid work.
• You will manage a small caseload, to ensure a personalised 1:1 offer of support is in place.
• You will raise employer’s awareness of the positive contribution people with a disability and or a mental health condition can make to the workforce by directly engaging with employers and local communities.
Overall, we are looking for Job Coaches who have the drive and enthusiasm to engage and support both our County Durham residents and potential employers. The goal being to create and build excellent working relationships, allowing individuals with disabilities and mental ill health to reach their full potential.
