The Headteacher and Governors seek to appoint a talented teacher with a passion for teaching and learning, a natural ability to nurture children and the determination to give 100% for a role in a forward thinking and friendly primary school.

At St. Andrew’s Primary School, we pride ourselves in being welcoming and family orientated; placing the child in the centre of all we do. The successful candidate must be able to fit into this environment and culture with ease, demonstrating that they have the personal qualities and ambition to become a member of our hardworking and passionate team.

We are seeking to employ a teacher to work in our Reception class from September 2021. Our Early Years Foundation Stage is already well established and so the new member of staff will be required to continue the good work that has gone before, as well as develop it further. They will work closely with other members of the Early Years team; supporting the transition from Nursery and, later, into year 1.

We are looking for someone who has already had some experience in an Early Years setting and is aware of the expectations of children of this age. We welcome applications from NQTs, who have had placements in Early Years.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. As a disability confident employer, we are committed to employing disabled people and people with health conditions making reasonable adjustments to support disabled applicants when required.

The Governors are committed to safeguarding and safe recruitment, and promoting the welfare of children. Any offer of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check; completion of a Disqualification by Association declaration form in accordance with the Childcare Disqualifications Regulations 2009; receipt of satisfactory supporting references; evidence of essential qualifications; a pre-employment Health Check and evidence of the Right to Work in the UK.
