We would be particularly keen to hear from people who have previous experience of chairing complex meetings. The Adoption Team works tirelessly, and the Panel sits twice a month to ensure assessments of prospective adopters and matches for our children are timely.

The candidate we are looking for will have the enthusiasm, commitment and competence to be able to prepare for and chair the Adoption Panel ensuring the active participation of all panel members. Candidates will need to be child-centred with a sound understanding of the adoption process. The candidate must possess the ability to analyse and explain complex information and to put attendees at ease.

A fee of £450 is paid per Panel meeting.

Applicants should be a qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years’ experience and current Social Work England registration.
