Temporary fulltime 6 months post subject to the return of the substantive postholder

Salary: £ 28,672 - £ 32,234- £ 33,782– £ 37,890 (pro rata for part-time)
i.e. pre-progression Grade 9/ post -progression Grade 11

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Social Worker to deliver care co-ordination for people who experience severe and / or enduring mental health difficulties.

We currently have a temporary full-time vacancy within Wear Valley Affective Disorders Team.

The Community Intervention Teams (CITs) provide an integrated health and social care approach to supporting people with severe and enduring mental health problems and their carers. These functional teams provide statutory and specialist interventions on behalf of both Durham County Council and Tees Esk and Wear Valley’s NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team of workers who are committed to providing a flexible and effective service to people with psychosis and affective disorders.

You must have up to date knowledge of current legislation and Policies/ Procedures in relation to Adult Health and Social Care.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Social Work qualification i.e. Degree, DipSW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent and either be a qualified AMHP or be willing to train as an Approved Mental Health Professional within specific timescales.

Applicants must hold or be applying for Social Work England registration.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
