Post title: Relief Childcare Assistant – casual

Salary: £19,312 - £20,493 Grade 4 (pro-rata to hours worked if applicable)

Job Location: your normal place of work will be at one of the Children’s Centres within County Durham, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

We are looking for Relief Childcare Assistants who can deliver high quality childcare services for families and children. The postholder will assist in the delivery of stimulating indoor and outdoor activities suitable for children in the 0 – 5 years age range.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within Early Years Foundation Stage as well as sound knowledge of Safeguarding procedures.

Required qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in a Relevant Early Years Qualification or equivalent

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
