The Governing Body wishes to appoint a Caretaker to join our friendly, hardworking and successful school.

The successful candidate will be reliable, well-organised, have good communication skills and be able to work flexibly, to meet the needs of the school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the building and site are secure, safe and able to meet our high standards of cleanliness.

Main duties will include :-
• Ensure the building and site are secure
• Act as a designated key holder
• Winter gritting and path clearing
• Porterage duties
• Cleaning areas within the school
• Managing hygiene and cleaning stock in all areas of the school
• Carry out maintenance, daily health and safety/ fire safety checks
• Undertake minor repairs
• Report defects and faults

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and be subject to a DBS checks. Witton Gilbert Primary School is committee to the safety and protection of is children.

This position is whole time, which means that you will work all year (52 weeks per year) with a leave entitlement of 26 days (less than 5 years' service) or 31 days (5 years service or more), pro rata for part time.
