We are looking for child centred practitioners who would like to join our Residential Childrens Homes Team as Senior Residential Workers on a permanent basis.
You will work as part of a dedicated staff team to ensure our children and young people are provided with the best care possible.
As a Senior Residential Worker, you will work closely with the Children’s Homes Manager, and deputise in their absence. You will support the Homes Manager in monitoring and fulfilling the Leadership and Management Standard, Health and Safety and Buildings Compliance. In addition to auditing child files and key documentation as well as producing key written reports and documents.
You will assist in the management, development, and delivery of care and support to the young people living in the home. You will provide operational leadership to the residential workers while on shift, ensuring the team are well supported and trained so that they can deliver continuity of care.
The role will involve working a range of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and sleep in duties.
To apply you should be 22 years old or above, an experienced Residential Worker and be:

• Able to effectively engage with young people, team members and other professionals
• Emotionally resilient
• Reliable
• Flexible in your approach to work
• Knowledgeable about the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
• Committed to the continuous professional development of yourself and others
• Physically fit
• It will also be beneficial for candidates to have:
• Knowledge, skills or experience working with young people who have experienced trauma
• Confidence using IT systems to record

It is anticipated that panel interviews will take place week commencing 14th June 2021 and will be followed by a young person’s panel at a later date.
