Durham County Council, on behalf of the Association of DsPH Network North East is hosting this fixed term position to enable the DsPH to lead on Public Health Sector Led Improvement agenda. This is an exciting role at a North East level, working closely with Directors of Public Health, Public Health England and the Association of Directors of Public Health at a national level.
The post holder will lead on the development and delivery of the Public Health Sector Led Improvement (SLI) programme for the North East England region and will provide support to North East Director of Public Health (DPH) meetings and supporting networks including children and young people, drug and alcohol etc, developing social media messaging.
They will work across all local authorities in the region, agree a work programme with DsPH regionally, maintain trust with DsPH and work closely with the Public Health England North East Centre.
The successful applicant will be line managed by the Director of Public Health, County Durham, on behalf of North East DsPH and will also report via the Association of DsPH North East network.
Applicants should demonstrate experience and track record of strategic planning and effective programme management and leading complex programmes together with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
