The role:
This is crucial role within the service so we are looking for someone who can bring experience, dedication and passion to ensure the welfare and safety of children and young people is prioritised.

As a Service Manager your main remit will be our Families First provision in the North of the county including our Children with Disabilities service. You will provide direction and support to a team of front-line managers and practitioners ensuring effective delivery of social work services.

You will closely with the Strategic Manager to ensure operational teams are delivering high quality effective services, this will include implementation of the new service offer for children and young people with disabilities, supporting the delivery of the SEND agenda within children’s social care and driving forward improvement activity.

Skills and experience
This is an extremely varied role requiring a broad range of skills including:

• Problem Solving
• Partnership working
• Collaborating

Your expertise should come with a recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England Registration, in addition, a management qualification to level 5 or equivalent would be desirable.
