Salary: £23,541 – 27,041 pro-rata, grade 7
(enhancements will be paid if working weekends & bank holidays )
Where appropriate, mileage will be paid at 45 pence per mile

Support & Recovery provides a community, recovery based service to individuals with complex mental health issues who may also have a forensic background/been involved with the criminal justice services and autism.

We are seeking two enthusiastic male individuals to work and develop their skills to aid the recovery and identified outcomes for individuals to improve their quality of life.

As a Recovery Worker you will be expected to work in the community, hence the need to have robust emotional resilience. The successful applicant will be required to take a flexible approach to work and have a desire to make a real difference to the lives of people with mental health issues. Due to the nature of referrals, you may work alongside a colleague to provide staffing on a ratio of 2 – 1, although this may change over time.

The role may involve working a shift pattern (day/evening-time only) and may also include working regular/alternative weekends and some bank holidays.

Experience and skills in relation to working with people who have mental health issues and a good level of digital skills, i.e., inputting information/making recordings etc. are required within this role.

You will need to work flexibly around the needs of the individual, have great problem solving skills, be patient and resilient and committed to providing an excellent service.

**Covid-19 Vaccination
This role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination, unless exemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses. Extending the policy to cover booster doses would require amending the regulations and be subject to parliamentary approval.

If you are successful and before taking up the role you will be required to provide evidence of this as part of your pre-employment checks.

Qualifications
• 5 GCSE’s or equivalent or
• NVQ L3 or
• Relevant degree / Nursing qualification or equivalent or
• Social Work qualification or equivalent
