Your normal place of work is Meadowfield Depot. However; you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham
Job Location: Meadowfield Depot – plus any other DCC building as required
Salary: Grade 9
Permanent 1 x 37 Hours Post – 37 Hours plus 2 hours contractual overtime
Durham County Council have an exciting opportunity for the role of Roofing Foreman within the Building and Facilities, Repairs and Maintenance Team.
The successful candidate will become part of a highly motivated team, committed to the ongoing success of the Repairs and Maintenance Service. The role requires the candidate to possess a commitment to excellent customer service and the post holder will be responsible for the operational supervision of the roofing function including the supervision of operational staff and framework sub-contractors.
The candidate must be educated as follows:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Roofing Services discipline.
• 5 days SMSTS
• CSCS Management Card
The post holder will also be required to have supervisory and/or management experience of roofing and associated works within a large multi-functional public or private sector organisation and of working at a similar level within a Construction or Maintenance environment.
